Software Freedom Day 2008 Media Launch Event

The Software Freedom Day (SFD) Media Launch Event is scheduled for September 12th, 2008 from 6-8pm at the Atrium at the Guardian Holdings Limited Building, Westmoorings.

Attendance at this event is restricted to invited media personnel and SFD sponsors.

At the atrium, there will be tables with demonstrations of FOSS in action. Light refreshments will be served.

Current tables/booths at SFD Media Launch event

- Nintendo Wii lightpen demo - need projector, laptop with bluetooth

- TTCS OSSWIN CD/DVD

- Ubuntu/Edubuntu

- Guardian Life table

- OLPC and Asus EEE PCs

- Network Attached Storage (not necessarily a separate table as a NAS could have content for OSSWIN CD and Ubuntu booths)

- Log On Ltd (sponsor)

- Kaizen Project (sponsor)

- Refreshment table - we need a bar (Brydens sponsor) and a food station - will let you know what the food /bar ppl want as soon as we finalise with them (JAM).

Miscellaneous Notes

- need to send letter invitations to persons

- provide refreshments

- have booths of Wii demo, OLPC, Asus EEE PCs

- brochure/flyer about OS, SFD, TTCS and CDs of OSSWIN and Ubuntu for each attendee
